Cool. Wait, does that mean you knew about my ghost powers this whole time?

[He's more surprised than anything. If she did know more than he'd told her, he had no idea that she knew.]

That is what everyone always thinks. That I go into their minds. [Dru hugs herself, a little upset]

I don't.

Oh. Sorry. I just thought--sorry. [He feels a bit guilty now for jumping to conclusions.]

Just because I can read minds, doesn't mean I always read minds. [Dru had hoped Danny would be different]

I know, I didn't mean to accuse you of anything, I just thought--I mean, I eavesdrop on people when I'm invisible, so it would make sense if you did, even though you don't. [Danny wondered if he was just digging himself into a deeper hole.]

When you do, do you do it to help people?

Of course! [Danny paused, thinking of a couple of times when it wasn't really to help anyone.] Most of the time.

Sometimes I do drift into people's minds. [Dru softly admits]

Oh. I guess that makes sense.

[Especially since he knew he'd probably be tempted to do it himself...and, he guiltily admitted to himself, he'd probably do it more often than she did. It was probably a good thing he couldn't read minds.]

It's probably a good thing you're responsible with it.

[Realistically, Danny would probably cheat on tests at the very least if he could just look into someone else's mind and get the answer.]

I'm actually pretty good with mine, now, but I've had a lot of practice.

"That's right, I don't." Then, in a desire to show off more than anything, particularly since she already knew the bulk of his secret, Danny said, "Going ghost!"

And with that, two white rings appeared around his midsection, and when they separated, they revealed a Danny that glowed slightly, had pure white hair, and glowing green eyes.

Dru smiled at the demonstration. "Cool. What can you do?"

"Oh, you know. Ghost stuff. Walk through walls," Danny phased through the nearby wall, then floated back out over her head, "Fly, go invisible," he went invisible, then, going visible again, he shot a green blast at a nearby trash can, putting a dent in it. "I have my ectoblasts. And then I have my ghostly wail, but it would be a little dangerous to try and demonstrate that at the moment."

"Were you born with these abilities?" Dru watches his demonstration with interest.

He shook his head. "No, it happened after an accident in my parents' basement."

"You have adapted well to them."

"I get a lot of practice."

"Protecting people?"

"Yeah. I'm kind of like a superhero."

"A dangerous occupation."

"Yeah, but I can handle it."
