There was an amused laugh from River as she heard the voice from nearby, concentrating on her drink and swilling the contents around the glass.

"Honey," she began, turning her head. "If I was going to have a New Year's kiss, it would be with my - "

She stopped when she met the gaze of the man looking at her, her sentence faltering on her rejection.

"Oh," she then said, placing the glass down in front of her and elegantly sitting back. "I suppose could change my mind for you."
