[Oh. Okay. She's...just going to set the phone down on the nearest surface and step back.] I think you dropped this.
[She's a short kid, kind of skinny and probably looks older around the eyes than she actually is. But there's reasons for that.] It was under the chair you were sitting on.
[ As if, being handed something was the end of the world, a kid makes it the end of the universe. Tony just looked absolutely disgusted at the thought. ] Good. Good. I'll just leave it there. And, God only knows where those hands of yours have been.
I'm sure you did. Kids are the world's greatest lairs, and even bigger lairs when it comes to personal hygiene. [Sure he'll donate tons of money to help children's charities, the real things are nothing but walking germ factories. He looked at the phone, as if it fell into the toilet. ] I guess, I'll be out of another phone.
It's not as if they're hard to make, kid. [He hardly is pleased with the loss of his phone.] I'll tell you what, kid take the phone. It will have all new settings in it by the time you get home.
....it's a sandwich. [Who didn't like being handed a sandwich? Especially one who has been in the lab all day. Bruce was starving so he figured Tony would be too.]
[Tony had his head buried in the latest batch of upgrades to the Iron Man suit. He didn't even notice that Bruce had stepped inside the lab. He looked up from his work, he grabbed the sandwich without much of an argument. ] I thought you were one of the other peons that work here.
[Tony was making improvements on the replusors inside of the suit's gauntlets. He almost has them down to where he wants them, but for a man like Stark, he always never was satisfied with leaving things be. He took a big bite out of his sandwich.] Mph. This. [He tries to talk between mouth fulls of food. ] Is good. Where'd you get it?
I made it, actually. Jarvis talked me through to the kitchen. [a pause] There was something blue and furry in the bottom drawer, I avoided that. You probably should throw it out.
I really hope it's mold. It didn't have any eyes. [He may be joking there, it's hard to tell with Bruce.] I could throw it out if you want. She's probably busy with other things.
I'm trying to update the fiberoptics, communications systems, and network intelligence for my company's holdings on the West Coast. Stark Industries came the highest recommended.
And a, uh... very efficient redheaded assistant let me in. [And thankfully decided not to ask questions when the heat sensors didn't turn up anything as John walked through them.]
It better be mold. If it's not going to change shape into a velociprator, I'd say we're in good shape. [He hand waved the thought of Bruce going down there. ] Nah. She wouldn't mind one bit.
[Tony held his hands up in the air, complete with a scowl on his face. ] I'm not touching anything that came from those hands. It can sit on my desk, no, I'll call Fury's bomb squad to get it the fuck off my desk.
